Two grant awards fund a new film for young adults with Asperger’s Syndrome and High Functioning Autism

 

The Annex is pleased to announce grant awards from The Hudson Valley Foundation for Youth Health for $10,000 and from The Daniel Jordan Fiddle Foundation for $5,600. 

 

The Hudson Valley Foundation for Youth Health, www.hvfyouth.org, is an independent not-for-profit foundation dedicated to helping develop, maintain, and expand prevention and early intervention programs for the youth in the region.

 

The mission of The Daniel Jordan Fiddle Foundation, www.djfiddlefoundation.org, is to provide grants to programs that enhance the lives of adolescents and adults with Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD) including residential, vocational, educational, recreational and family support programs.


These awards will be used to produce a film called Differently Abled for and about young adults with Asperger’s Syndrome and high functioning autism intended to promote self understanding, self confidence and self advocacy skills.
